Keiser University Volleyball Team Members Receive Special Surprise at Beach Clean-Up

Community service comes second nature to Keiser University Seahawk athletic teams. “I truly believe that to be a successful program you have to stay humble and dedicate as much time and effort as possible to the community. Showing the team we can work hand in hand to accomplish goals in life other than volleyball encourages our athletes to grow and strive as the future women of the world,” said Coach James Rogers. With the goal of serving several efforts a year, the group keeps their calendars full, as activities have included helping out at the Quantum House which provides families a place to stay when a child is being treated for a medical condition, providing toiletries to those in need, donating blood, and more.

Quantum House Virtual Summer Silent Auction

Quantum House is hosting its first-ever Summer Silent Online Auction. The auction kicked off on Friday, August 14 and will continue through Monday, August 24 at 8 p.m. Participants can bid on tech items, bicycles, children’s games, fully stocked Yeti coolers, and more, all in support of Quantum House’s mission to host and support the families of sick children.

Northern chamber names Mitrione board chair

The Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce has announced its 2020-21 board of directors and Stephanie Mitrione as its incoming board chair. In addition to serving as chamber chair, she is on the executive committee of the Central Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce, and is also on the board for Quantum House, the Lake Okeechobee Regional Economic Alliance, the South Florida Fair, SunFest and the Economic Council of Okeechobee County. In addition, she is a graduate of the Leadership Palm Beach County Class of 2015 and was the recipient of the 2017 ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award.

Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens reopens stores

Back in business! The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens opened up stores Friday at 11 a.m. after being closed for about two months because of the coronavirus pandemic. The mall’s stroller rental is no longer available, but strollers are available for purchase for $20, and the money will be donated to the Quantum House.
