Camp Quantum House: Arthrogryposis Awareness Day
Scarman, Kristen DeAndrade, and Dr. Feldman visit Camp Quantum House
Camp Quantum House featured stories of positivity and self-acceptance. Campers first enjoyed dinner provided by The Paley Institute, then heard from several inspiring speakers. First, author and public speaker Ward ‘Scarman’ Foley gave campers some insight into his life with arthrogryposis. Scarman encouraged kids to choose happiness and be proud of their scars. Author of “Little Legs, Big Heart,” Kristen DeAndrade also spoke to campers about her journey with dwarfism. She encouraged kids to love themselves and stay hopeful. Families also heard from Dr. David Feldman of The Paley Institute.
